Together at the Park

Katia is now at a great age for enjoying outings with us. I started putting her in the park swing about a month ago, and she loves it. Annika especially loves when Katia gets to participate in the same things she likes to do. I've been telling Annika: when you have a sister, you always have a friend!









After the swings, Annika was ready to roam awhile. Her main activity when we're outside is to gather things and use them for pretend play. Meanwhile, Katia explored the grass. I just have to be quick to keep her from ingesting it.











I gave Katia my water bottle to distract her from the grass for awhile. A couple weeks ago, I let her play with Annika's plastic straw cup at the park, and she discovered she could drink water from it! She loves objects that aren't toys. Funny how babies can tell what the real stuff is!
