Children's Museum

Last Monday the girls and I visited the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose. Our cousin-in-law Alexis (married to Zac's cousin) came along to enjoy the fun and help with the girls (she was also our photographer for most of these pictures). We enjoyed it enough that I decided to get an annual pass so we can come back anytime. Annika is already asking to go again! Here are a few of the things that we enjoyed:

Floating balls! This was a hit with both girls. You put the balls over the air blower and -magic- they float!

Bubbles! We tried making some really big bubbles, and also learned that if our hands are wet, we can put them through a big bubble screen without popping the bubble.

There is currently a big exhibit devoted to Curious George, which happens to be Annika's favorite PBS Kids show right now (she is watching it as I type!). There were various activities like mini-golf, a construction zone, and a lobby with an elevator like the one in Curious George's apartment building. Annika had fun saying, "I'm the elevator operator!"

All of the exhibits were great for little as well as big kids. Katia had fun picking up these giant cubes. There was also an area just for babies, with lots of good space to crawl and explore. She may have had the most fun at the water exhibit (no pictures--we were too wet!).

Annika went for a pretend ride on the Wells Fargo wagon and waited a long time for a turn at driving the fire engine. There was much more to explore; we'll enjoy going back often!
