Halloween 2008

Our Halloween tradition since we've had Annika is to attend the Fall Family Festival at our church. Annika was excited this year to wear her costume and attend a big party! We asked her at the end what her favorite thing was, and she said, "eating candy." She also enjoyed the jump house and seeing her friends in their costumes. However, she wondered why the "big buddies" dressed in costumes too. She especially thought it was strange to see a few adults with painted faces--she said afterward that she didn't like that.

Here are some of our pictures from the evening:

That's my mom in the background. We're lucky to have her here with us this week!

Annika and Grammi in the preschool area. Annika is picking up objects with magnets.

A real princess tea party! Annika got to decorate her own cookie, with the help of our pastor's wife. Princess Joleene read a story to the girls.

Katia was rested up after sleeping through much of the carnival, so we were able to do a little photo shoot at home.

So...where were Zac's gold chains? And Ellen, you weren't in too many pictures, so I couldn't tell for sure--but were you wearing a Mommy costume?

Adorable photos; I captured them for my own album. Thanks!
