We have many dear friends in San Diego that make it really hard to leave. Our community mostly revolves around our beloved New Hope Church. Yesterday our care group (home fellowship group) of 5 years held a going away party for us. I don't have any pictures of the event to share, but they are working on a scrapbook for us, which we will treasure. They shared good food, kind words, and prayers for us. We were very blessed! New Hope, and especially our care group, have shown us what it really means to live as the body of Christ.
The girls and I were also treated to a special goodbye lunch this week with some of Annika's playmates and their mommies.
The kids all had an impromptu tea party while lunch was being prepared:

We were treated to a lovely meal.

Our Taiwanese friend, Ming Ying, treated us to a slideshow of fun memories.

It is hard to say goodbye, but there is something special in this time of transition when we get to stop and reflect on our time here and treasure the people who have mattered to us.
